Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about Mello, its prelaunch status, and how it fits with the AI tools you already use.

What is Mello?

Mello is an upcoming visual editor designed specifically for AI-built web applications. It gives you an interactive canvas to select any UI element, fine-tune its layout and typography by hand or with scoped AI prompts, and write clean diffs straight back to your code.

Can I use Mello today?

Not yet. Mello is currently in active prelaunch development. The interface and demo shown on this site represent working internal builds. Join the waitlist to receive an invite when private beta cohorts begin.

Which frameworks will Mello support?

Our current preview builds are developed around modern React and Next.js ecosystems. We are finalizing our launch framework roadmap and will share verified compatibility before private access opens.

Will it work with Cursor, Claude Code or other AI tools?

Mello is designed as a complementary visual layer, not a replacement for your AI coding agents. You build the initial features in your favorite AI editor, then open Mello whenever you need to inspect, polish, and tune the interface without wrestling with prompts.

What happens to my code?

Your code remains 100% yours. Mello writes standard, readable code rather than proprietary abstractions. You can export standalone source code, host independently, or bring your own AI API keys.

How much will it cost, and when does it launch?

Pricing and public launch timelines will be announced as we expand testing cohorts. Joining the waitlist is completely free, carries no commitment, and secures your priority spot for early invites.
